Bold numbers on a TOC

I'm a bit confused I have a document where the heading styles are bold
including the number, when I generate the TOC I don't want the index entries
to be bold I can remove the bold from the text but not the number, please
help.

The confusion is I know it can be done as I have a document where it is OK
but can't see how it has worked.

Any help would be appreciated
