Booking meetings: Incomplete info btwn Mac and Windows

When I schedule a meeting in the calendar in Entourage on my Mac, some
of the people I invite use Windows computers. The invitation shows up
in their Outlook with incomplete information and without the links/
ability to accept or decline the meeting. It is not surprising in the
least that Microsoft doesn't care enough about its customers to make
Windows and Mac versions of the same software talk to each other
properly, but is there some workaround for this programming deficiency?

Microsoft Entourage v 10.1.6
