Border Art won't print using Publisher 98

Create a new blank greetings card using File/New/Blank Publications. Select Side Fold Card and say Yes to Insert pages automatically. Create a text box in the middle of page 3. Put any text you like in it. Click the Line border style button on the toolbar at the top, and click More styles. Click BorderArt. Select the Christmas tree, 33pt, stretch pictures to fit, restore original colour. Click Apply and OK. Now click the Print icon. Using HP Deskjet 710c, the text prints but not the christmas tree border. Now try File/Print and select current page. Click OK. This time the christmas trees print. So why didn't they the first time? Am I left printing a page at a time and feeding the paper in more than once to get all of it?

This will be an issue with your printer driver.
See if HP have a later version of the printer driver for your model on their
website and download and install it if they do.
Don't hold your breath as HP are a lemon brand of printer and fail to fix
issues and update printer drivers once printers are more than six months
old.

Have already checked printer driver, HP even have a web based tool that will inspect the printer driver and see if it is installed properly, and it reported that it was. Co-incidentally there had been a problem with the printer producing odd error messages, and the website also said to fix that by disabling all communication back from the printer to the computer.

Interestingly, have just printed a card with the packages border art and that worked OK - no reason why it would be just the xmas trees is there? I had noticed this border art thing some while back but thought for ages it must be me. I also found out the hard way that the printing one page at a time workaround only works for pages 1 and 3. If you try it on page four, it over-writes page 1.
