Borderless printing with Canon I9900 in MS Publisher?

I need to do borderless printing with a Canon I9900 in MS Publisher. I'll
gladly pay a consulting fee to get my problem solved. If it's easier to
call, my cellphone is (914) 318-6766.

Best regards,

FWIW...posting your real e-mail address
in public newsgroups can cause you to
receive lots of spam. And....you should
never never never ever post your phone
number.

Anyway...if your printer is recognized by
Publisher and you have a project layout
that fills the canvas...it should print to the
edge.

That's what I have to do with my HP. Be certain you save as a high-resolution.
Print the results within Canon's software.
Some folks can workaround this...

I have a Canon printer, and here is one way.

Go to File > Page Setup > I chose full page. Then under the Printer and
Paper tab make sure you have selected your Canon as the printer and click on
Properties, which will open your Canon printer properties dialogue window.
Under the Main tab, and you can choose the media type (plain paper or
whatever) and I like to check the Preview before printing Option. Under the
Page Setup tab you will choose the Page Size and Orientation (letter size
works just fine). Under Printing Type check the Borderless Printing box. You
might be given a warning that borderless printing is not recommended when
plain paper is selected as the Media Type. You will see a drop down box
where you can choose your Media Type, and you can ignore the warning and
choose plain paper if you want. Click OK. OK.

Go ahead and layout your Publisher document using all the page without
margins and when you are ready to print go to File > Print > OK. You will
get a print preview dialogue box, and if everything looks good, Start
Printing.

These directions will vary depending on what kind of publication you are
printing, so just experiment if you are doing something other than a full
letter size page. If you truly want to understand the full capabilities of
your printer then I would advise going to the Canon site and downloading and
reading the Users guide and the Photo Application guide....that's how I
figured out this printer. You don't need a consultant...just read a little.
Good luck.

David,

Thanks. Your comments were extremely helpful. I'm going to give it a try.
I'll read the manual and learn a bit more about the printer. I really
appreciate the help.

Best regards,
