Borders in Powerpoint

How do I put coloured borders around each slide in powerpoint...none of the
design templates seem to have this, and I can't seem to find out how to make
it work otherwise.

Click View > Master > Slide Master.
Draw a rectangle on the slide master.
Double click on the rectangle to bring up the format autoshape dialog box.
Set the fill to none.
Set the line to a color of your of preference and click OK.
Close master view and all the slides will have the border now.
Is that what you want?

I have listed the the steps below:

1. On the 'Drawing' toolbar, click the rectangle shape, and then draw the
rectangle of the size you want on your slide. It helps if you select 'Fit'
from the 'Zoom' list, and then draw the rectangle to surround a slide.

2. Right-click the rectangle and select 'Format Autoshape' from the shortcut
menu. The 'Format Autoshape' dialog box is displayed.

3. In the 'Color' list, under 'Fill', click 'No Fill'.

4. Under 'Line', select a color and a style.

5. On the 'Format Autoshape' dialog box, click [OK].

And not to forget putting it on the slide master instead of putting it on the
slide/s itself. <g>
