Breaking link to a template while preserving autotext and macros

Hi again

One more thing about the global template. Is there a possibility to
remove the link to that template and copy all the needed content to the
current document?

The thing is, I'd like to distribute my documents to third persons, who
happen to not have my templates. So I'd be glad with the possibility of
copying all the needed stuff (macros, autotext) from the attached
template when the document is created. Otherwise I'd have to give the
template along with the document.

What do you think about this?

Thanks for your opinion,
Bernhard

Hi Bernhard

Documents can't contain Autotext. They can contain code, but I would
recommend against it, because it is likely that code code simply won't run
on customer machines because of the macro security settings.

You're right. I think I must tolerate the fact that third persons are
not able to properly update the document (which is what happens when
they print it), when they're not in possession of the templates.

This whole template stuff seems a lot more complicated than it should
be. Maybe that's just me... :)

Thanks,
Bernhard
