Breaking up data within a cell

J

John P

Hello everyone,

In Excel 2003 WinXp

I have several thousand lines of data which have imported as - (as an
example)

Cell A1
B2342, 12,32223, JFGK, 1

Please can you advise me how to make the above line become 5 separate cells
(a1:15) rather than one??

Thanks in anticipation.

Make sure the adjacent 4 columns to the right are empty then select the
column, do data>text to columns
select delimited, click next and select comma as delimiter, click finish
