Brochure design in Office X

I'm trying to design a brochure in Office X. Does anyone know where I
can get instructions on line or in a book in how to use this part of
the program?

It is possible, but you have to be a bit of a masochist.

The answer depends on how many pages, how fancy the layout and who is
going to print it.

It's amazing what can be accomplished during a 30 day free trial of
InDesign2. ;-)

If your brochure is fairly simple, and you fancy a little
self-flagellation, follow the directions you are presented with when
you type "brochure" at Word's help.

A little more seriously, if it is important to get the message to your
customers just right, you might do worse than talk to your printer and
a layout pro before getting in too deep. A lot of the work you could do
yourself in Word, and the printer/typesetter could take it and turn it
into something decent a bit more cheaply than if they had to key in all
the copy. If you go that road, use style names consistently and don't
do any hand formatting. The typesetter will have InDesign or Quark and
can easily import your Word and adapt your styles to the needs of the
final layout.
