Bug: Signatures in Entourage

You know, it's so funny that Microsoft launched its Mactopia blog last
week, to give us all the impression that they really care about their
customers. But all I know is that I have been reporting the same bugs
to Microsoft over & over again for over 4 years now, and they're STILL
not fixed by Microsoft.

Here's one of the many unresolved bugs that we have reported to
Microsoft, still unresolved:

When Entourage is set as your default email client, and you try to
email a link from Safari (by pulling down from Safari's "File" menu to
"Mail Link to This Page", Entourage does NOT insert your default
signature into the outgoing email message. Entourage will ignore your
signature on any outgoing email messages that are generated by other
applications, outside of Entourage.

This is a bug that does NOT happen in other email clients, such as
Apple's Mail.

Not to argue or defend the problem, there is an easy way around this. Use
script "Insert Safari URLs" to insert URL into Entourage message.

Assign a shortcut to the script for easy use. For instructions on adding a
shortcut to a script see:

Scripts are also available for OmniWeb and Firefox.

The poster isn't referring to inserted URLs. The poster is referring to
Entourage failing to insert signatures.

Yes, but the fault lies with the script that Safari uses to create the
content of the mail. The work-round offered does not use Safari's built in
script, but uses an AppleScript triggered from within Entourage to
accomplish the same thing - mailing a link to a particular page. Using this
work-round does result in a mail message with a link to the page in safari
and with a signature correctly attached.
