only extremely irritating, but loses the user the ability to spell, it is

Well electronic dictionaries tend to present 'correct' alternatives when you
make spelling errors nowadays. So does Google. For "buriguard", it suggest
"bullguard". This is probably not what the OP was looking for, but still.
