cached exch. mode?

Hi, NG!
I'm new to the Mac world, I don't even use it, but my boss just got one...
So, here it comes my question, is there an "exchange cached mode" feature of
Entourage, the way OL2003 has? My boss is abroad, he used to use his
TabletPC, but now he just got this G5 and he wants to read his e-mail on it.
I wouldn't like to use POP3.
Or maybe there's somebody who knows whether or not the mail application(?)
in OS-X does have such a feature. (Even if this is not a Mac newsgroup...)

Thanks.

I¹m not sure what exchange cached mode is, but I was wondering if it is like
Offline mode. If so, check out ³Offline² in the Entourage Help.

Entourage only operates in "cached mode". Any item synced at anytime with a
server-based account is stored in the database and can be viewed offline.

Thanks a lot, Ed & Dave.
Now, in an attempt to make my options clear, another question, using again
the principles that I know from OL2003: is there a "RPC over HTTP" option?
Don't even know if Entourage speaks RPC(?), but I don't know anything about
that remote network, so I'll need something very simple and ubiquitous like
HTTP. So again, is Entourage able to encode its dialog with Exchange as
HTTP?

Thanks.

Entourage will talk directly to the Outlook Web Access web site, so you can
do the same basic thing as Outlook. Just type in your OWA web address in the
server address field in Entourage, e.g.

www.company.com/exchange
