Hi -

Entourage is working fine, synching my email, calendar, etc. And when I click on the Public Folders, it synchs them too. However, when I close Entourage and then open it again later, the Public Folders are not cached and i have to resynch them. My personal email is cached so it does not have to be resynched, but I can not figure out how to cache the large public folders (calendar and contact info) so that i do not have to resynch every time. ANy help would be appreciated.

By default the public folder hierarchy isn't cached, since on many systems
this would be far too large to be practical (some systems have *hundreds* of
public folders, many of which may not be relevant). Outlook 2003/2007 in
caching mode behaves in much the same way.

To get a cached copy of specific public folders, you need to "Subscribe" to
them, which you can do by right-clicking on the public folder and choosing
the "Subscribe" menu option. This will list the public folder under
"Subscribed Public Folders" and the content of these specific folders will
be cached.

You could conceivably subscribe to ALL public folders if you wanted to keep
a cache of the whole content with you.

The only downside is that these all appear at the top level under the
"Subscribed" heading. Any folder hierarchy isn't reproduced, which can be
inconvenient, but once the folders are on the "Subscribed" list you can
still browse for them as part of the normal public folder hierarchy.
Anything you've subscribed to will remain cached.
