Caculate Number of days but without the weekend included

Is there an Excel function that will calculate the number of days between
two selected dates (i..e from and to) that will return a value but excludes
the two weekend days i.e. Saturday and Sunday

I require this for a holiday schedule I want to maintain, but don't want to
include the weekend days. For example my idea is that a user would select
"when they start their holidays" and "when they finish them". Its natural
that if one takes 2 weeks off you click (via a calandar) the Monday and then
select the following Friday week. Note this includes a Saturday and Sunday
in between which I don't want included in my calculation of number of days
taken. The result of course should be 10 days and not 12.
