I have an upper and lower boundary for a value with an associated upper and lower score and want to establish what the score is for each value. e.g.
Value Lower Boundary Upper Boundary Lower score Upper score
60 0 100 0 5
60 100 0 0 5
60 120 30 0 5
I have worked out a formula to achieve this but wondered whether there might be a specific function to do the same job. The value need not be limited to the upper and lower boundaries (eg. the first row might have a value of, say, 120) so the score could be higher than 5 or lower than 0.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks
G
