Calculate new price with conditions

Hello Paul,

Thanks for the idea....but it doesn't solve the problem.

Here is what my sheet looks like:

A B
1 $10
2 X 10%
3 20%
4 X 5%
5 2%
6 New Price $11.50

Since A2 and A4 are selected I would want t
((B2*B1)+(B4*B1)+B1)=$11.50 is the new price based on the selection o
A2 and A4.

Does that provide more clarity

Whilst Myrtle has come up with the far superior SUMIF formula, I can't see
why you say that my one didn't solve the problem.

I just tried my one against your data and it came up with $11.50 just as you
require.

Did you try my formula?

Or is it just that you don't know how to factorise and therefore don't
realise that
((B2*B1)+(B4*B1)+B1 = B1*(B2+B4+1)
