calculate on time

I want to deduct one time from another and then use the
resultant cell to then calculate a cost. Eg time 09:00
and 11:00 deduct one from other and get 02:00 However. I
want to use that 2 to represent 2 hours and multiply by a
cost eg £10 per hour. Cannot do this if I use the =TEXT
function to deduct one time from another or even if I just
use minus. What do I need to do to then calculate on the
result? Thanks very much. Sall

Hi Sall

02:00 is NOT 2
02:00 is 2/24

So multiply 02:00 with 24 and then with cost for the desired result.

HTH. Best wishes Harald
