Calendar All Day Event

W

William Morris

Is there a way to make the all day event feature in calendar the default?
I've checked in preferences but don't see anything there.
In office X I was able to do so.

Thanks, William

How were you able to do so?

If you view the calendar in Week or Day view, click in the topmost cell,
where the date appears, and the event window that opens up will be set to
All-day by default.

The default for clicking randomly in Month view is a 1-hour event beginning
when your work-day begins.

It used to be a 'feature' of vX that double-clicking when in Month view
would get you an all day event. This was rationalised in v2004 to behave the
same as the other views because it gave rise to a lot of queries about this
behaviour.
