Calendar crashes and slow addressbook

HI I have 2 issues with Entourage that I would love some help with...

1. Every time I click on the Calendar icon...it causes Entourage to
crash...ie swirling ball

2. When I do a serch in my addressbook, it can take up to 30 seconds
for the item to be found..soo slow! Apparenty I still have heaps of
memory available.

any ideas??

Which exact version of Entourage? Which OSX? What model Mac are you
running, and how much RAM does it have installed. How many contacts in
the address book. How big is the Identity currently.
