Calendar events showing up as Email entries

Joseph Nilo

I've posted my issue before, still no luck . . . My calendar will not sync
with the Exchange 2003 server, and my calendars and contacts show up in my
email box.

I've tried every combination thinkable in the Free/Busy server box in the
account settings. I have 99% verified that WebDAV is active on my Exchange
server. I do have access to OWA via the web.

I have access to the Exchange server via remote desktop . . . Any tips on
things I should be looking for within it?

Thanks in advance!

What sort of access do you have to your Exchange Server? i.e. Are you
connecting over the internet? or have VPN based access to your Exchange
Server or have LAN based access to it. Entourage was not designed to work
seamlessly to connect to your Exchange mailbox over the internet, though it
can work that way. See if it works when you have LAN based access to your
Exchange Server. Again, make sure that all required protocols are enabled on
the server side. Read more details on the website below:

http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/exchange_server.html

Most of the common issues are discussed here. In the end you may have to
take a take a TCPFlow Trace of the synch process in Entourage and provide
more details to us thru this newsgroup. Also make sure that you have added
your account manually with correct settings. Once it shows the Calendar and
Contacts folders under Folder List, they will not be removed from there even
if the synch of them starts working, thus you will need to reconfigure the
account which removes the Folders List for your Exchange mailbox or you can
use a new identity in Entourage.

Hope this helps.

I had this same issue and fixed things by removing my Exchange account
from my identity and then re-added it back in with the correct
settings. A painful process in terms of resyncing, but in the end it
fixed the issue of calendar and contacts folders and items showing up
in the mail view
