Calendar fails to remain default on opening

In a recent update, Entourage lost the ability to open with my Mailbox and Calendar open. It appears to have set a default of opening with my Mailbox and a Folder List instead of the Calendar.

Is this a glitch in the update, or is there some setting that I need to reset?

If you start Entourage, set up the windows as you like to see them, then
quit entourage whil ein that state, it _should_ remember your settings.
Unfortunately, this seems to be a bit of a hit or miss feature.

I've done that and it no longer works. I've gone so far as to delete my preferences and start from scratch, but the calendar window still reopens as the Folder List.

Even if the Calendar page is the only window to open, it still comes up as Folder List.

In Entourage 2004, I NEVER had that problem. So something they did with 2008 has caused it.
