Calendar items appear in the wrong location on the daily grid

When I put an item into my calendar, it appears three hours earlier on
the grid than it is actually scheduled for (i.e. if I create an item
scheduled for 11 a.m., it will appear at 8 a.m. on the grid.) When I
open the item again, it shows the correct time (11 a.m. per the example
I mentioned). I've checked my time zone and options, and both have the
correct time zone. Any ideas of how I can correct this?

I've noticed that when I make a new calendar item, I get the message
"Event and computer time zones do not match. In calendar views, the
event time is adjusted to display correctly." Both the computer and
entourage, however, are set to the same time zone.
