calendar view problems

I was just playing with custom views on my calendar, and the 'Next 7 Days'
view shows a ton of stuff that falls outside of the specified time. It's set
to show any calendar items that are less than seven days and more than zero
days away (and yes, it should only be showing items that fit both criteria).
Unfortunately, it seems to pulling up all of my repeating items (Christmas,
Easter, birthdays, etc., etc.). I'm using v.X, if that make a difference.
Any thoughts as to why this is?

A really foolish bug, which I think has been fixed in 2004 - I'll need to go
check. Since every single recurring event that's still "active" (not reached
a terminating final occurrence) does have _some_ occurrences which are less
than seven days away (all the occurrences in the past) and other occurrences
which are more than 0 days away (all those in the future) and _since a
recurring event behaves in X as a compendium of all its occurrences ever_ it
thinks it fits the criteria! Dumb, isn't it? Entourage does know how to
calculate the recurrence pattern - that's how it displays occurrences
correctly in any monthly timeslot you view, it needs to do the same thing
for custom views. I'm hoping they got this fixed in 2004 - I hadn't checked.
I (and undoubtedly others) will report back.
