Calendar View (Show Current Date)

Is it me or would it not have been a nice thing to have the current date highlighted in Month view?

And when I hit the Today button it doesn't even highlight. In fact I can't figure out when you are in Month View what hitting the Today button does?

It is highlighted in a pale yellow. Check your screen settings.

Sorry, I have played with the color calibration on my iMac 6.1 and I cannot get the current date box in the "month view" to be any color then white. I've tried everything. I believe this is a bug.
I assume that if I have selected the 15th on the month view then the 30th (today) should be Yellow from what You are saying above. It is white after everything I have tried.

See what it looks like for me:

Even that calendar (link) doesn’t show up, but it does on my wife's iMac. No idea where to go now. The standard, preset color calibration in System Preferences doesn’t show it and when I try to calibrate it myself same thing, can't see.

However:

I did notice that on the email side, when I respond to a message and then re-open it there is a softly highlighted area below the addresses that is in light yellow that I can see that shows the words “You replied.......” So I don’t think it’s the fact that this monitor is not picking up the subtle yellow color in the calendar. Also in the month view it also does show any color difference between the current month and the previous or last month (which is a light grey) as it does on my wife’s machine. Her's is a iMac 5.1

I found this answer working with MSFT and some detective work on my own. First we discovered that if I created a new user and logged into that user the colors show up. This means there was a faulty file in the preference file that existed for my user account that did not exist in the new user account. Knowing this, and with no help from Apple who refused to help saying it was a "Microsoft issue" I started pulling out preferences files to a desktop folder 10 at a time (257 total) each time logging out and logging in until I could view the colors in the calendar. Finally I found it. It is the preference file "com.apple.universalaccess.plist"
and when removed from preferences in the library the Entourage colors returned. I have since found on the internet that this file causes color problems with other programs as well. I'm not sure what the file is for or controls or if I need it for something else. So that's next.

Did you delete it and let a new one be created?

I had a similar pref issue with SnapzPro. I could not make movies in my
User, but could in a new User. I deleted all of the SnapzPro preferences and
the problem persisted. I finally moved all preferences out and brought them
back in a few at a time. Testing each time. In the end I was able to bring
all back in and the problem was fixed. Now explain that.

I have the culprit file on the desktop in a folder,
I checked my preferences after a re-logging and it did not re-create it so I still not sure if I need it?
