Calendar viewing

Morning / afternoon all,

I thought this one was going to be a simple issue to solve but I keep coming
up dry!

Is there any way of changing the way Entourage displays the calendar. At
present I like to view the week as a whole so I can see what I have coming
up. I have set my work hours in the preference settings to 0900 1800.
However, Entourage displays the whole 24 hours with just the work hours
highlighted. This means that I am forced to squeeze all of my events into
1/3 of the screen. For me, and I would imagine many others, this is a very
inefficient way of doing things.

As I am unlikely to ever schedule a meeting at 3am I was wondering whether
there might be a way of customizing the view? Ideally I would only like to
see a specified time range on the screen, say from 0800 to 2100? So can
Entourage be edited like that?

Many thanks in advance

Andy

The vertical display - the number of hours - of Week and Work Week (and
Day) views in Entourage 2004 is not related to the preference settings for
Work hours. It's just related to how high the window is. To display more
hours at one time, make the window taller, to display fewer hours make the
window shorter. If you have a large monitor, with high resolution you can
see more hours without scrolling. On my 23" monitor, with 1920x1200
resolution, my current main window size is displaying 6 AM through 9 PM,
with work hours within that of 9 AM to 6 PM. I still have quite a bit of
space above and below the window. I'll check my 15" PowerBook later. To
display only 8 AM to 9 PM I just have to drag the bottom right corner of the
window up an inch and adjust the scroller - once. It then remembers that
scroll setting to every time I come back to the window or Week View it's
always set at 8 AM to 9 PM.

Paul,

Thanks for that. I am using a 20² screen at 1280x1024 resolution so I can
see as much as possible!

My problem wasn¹t so much that I couldn¹t see the working day, I more wanted
to zoom in on only that part of the day so that the calendar view is taken
up by just the working day.
I thought it was a waste of space having all of the hours displayed when
there cant be that many events that happen at that time. Surely the majority
of things that are scheduled will be during the working hours, therefore if
you could Œzoom¹ in on just those hours they could be spaced out more and
easier to view.

Any ideas?

Cheers

BTW I am using Entourage 2004, Quicksilver G4 10.3.6
