I believe this is a known issue when using Entourage with Swiss timezone
settings. It was discovered late in the development cycle, and is due to a
bug in OS X rather than Entourage, and only affect Swiss users!

I believe a work-round is to set the system date & Time formats to use a
'custom' format, rather than select 'Switzerland' from the format menu. The
custom format can use the same settings as the swiss format, but is defined
manually instead of through the drop down menu. Please can you confirm that
this work-round works for you?

Hello, how can I post the screen shot of my problem ???

Drag it onto your reply to this message and then post it.

Of course you should answer Barry's question first: are you using Swiss time
settings? If so, it's a known bug.

region...

What can I try ???

By the way I haven't succed in attaching pdf files (screen shots) to
this reply... I tried to drag the pdf file over this answer but it's
not working...

Thank you Michey,

Here I can finally attach the my problems in Entourage...
I hope someone can help me out...

What happens when you click the little calendar button next to the Start
date? Can you pick another date? Does the time show up then? What if you
click All-day event, and then unclick it? Does the time show up then?

How about if you go to Preferences/Calendar? Do you have "work day" hours
set?

If still no good, quit Entourage, go to

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/ and remove Entourage Preferences file
and com.microsoft.Entourage.prefs.plist file.

Launch Entourage. You'll have to reset all your other prefs too, but does
the time show up now?

If not, go to System Preferences/International/Formats.

What is your Time format here?

If it's standard, and you've done everything else and it's still no good.
you'll have to both do a Rebuild of the database and possibly reinstall by
using Office Remover in the Additional Tools folder of Microsoft Office 2004
folder, then reinstall from the CD.

Hi Paul,

if I click on the small calender I can change the date without problem
but still can't see the time... If I click All-day event, the same,
when I unclik it the time doesn't show up...

The Preferences/Calendar in the Work hours I can't see the time...

If I remove the plist file do I have to reconfigure all my entourage
settings ??? Rules, accounts, etc. ???

In the System/Preferences/International/Formats I have: Region:
custom, Times 00:34 16:56 "Use Leading zero for hour" active

Strange: I unchecked the "Use Leading zero for hours" and now the time
HOURS show up... the minutes still invisible...

I'm coming late into this thread, so I'm sorry if what I say is a repeat of
previous information.

The (lack of) display of time in Swiss settings is a known issue, discovered
AFTER 2004 shipped. The problem is actually a bug in the system software,
since Office just calls an apple routine to display the time - same routine
whatever international settings you use.

A workround may be to select 'Custom' in the date & time format settings
instead of "Switzerland", and set things up slightly differently.

MS know about this and I have no doubt that a fix will be forthcoming in due
time.

Good catch, Barry. I hadn't noticed that Marco's email address ended in
".ch".

In System Preferences/Formats, uncheck whichever of Italian-->Switzerland,
French-->Switzerland, or German-->Switzerland you have chosen, and instead
choose Custom at the bottom. You can then set the leading zeroes however you
like, I believe, and constitute the actual date and time formats just like
you have them when they're Switzerland, and it will be OK in Entourage. No
need for rebuild or reinstall.

Thanks Paul,

but in my system Preferences/International/Formats I don't have
Switzerland but custom ... After I unchecked the leading zero I can
now see the hours of the time but the minutes doesn't show up...
