calender

I have created a base calender with a 7hour working day (9-5 with an hour
lunch) within a standard calender template. Moving onto the gantt chart when
I allocate a resource (working to this base calender) to a task with a
duartion of 1day (Monday) to start on a Mon The task bar is not drawn to
start at the begining of the day (monday). Is there a way round this?

See FAQ 5 "Default Working Hours" at:

My guess would be that while your project calendar is set to 7.0 working
hours per day, the definition of hours in a "day" (defined in Tools >
Options, Calendar tab) is still set to 8.0.
