Can´t rebuild my Entourage database!

I can´t open entourage because of the message "can´t access to data"
Therefore I try to rebuild the database.

When I try the typical rebuild, I get the answer:
"A read/write error has occured (-40)

When I choose the advanced rebuild, I get:
"A read/writeerror has occured (-600)

Does this mean that this database is totally damaged or is there a way I
can rescue these mails or adresses?

Try running Disk First Aid before rebuilding - it looks like the corruption
is at disk level, not in entourage.
