Can Entourage 10.1.4 view and use a Microsoft Exchange
Server 5.5's global address book? I keep getting a "LDAP
Server Error" message. We can read and send email, use
calendar and newsgroups, and make use of public folders.
The global address book is the only area which is not
working. We are not running Active Directory on our
Microsoft servers at this time. If someone has done this
before, please post the steps involved in getting this
accomplished. Thanks.

"Exchange 2000 depends on Active Directory being installed and on being
able to communicate to the Active Directory using LDAP."

You need to set up your LDAP server as a standard directory service account,
not as part of an Exchange account. Go to Tools -> Accounts, click the
"Directory Service" tab, and then click "New". Enter your proper LDAP
server, but if it doesn't work you might need to turn on the "My server
requires me to log on" option. If you need to turn it on, you'll probably
need to use this format for Account ID:
domain\username
