Can functions be repeated via a control + function command?

In Microsoft word, if I want to repeat a function, I can press CTRL + Y key
instead of having to go back through the tool bars (e.g., repetitive cut &
paste, repetitive insertion of text boxes). However, CTRL + Y in Publisher
does not work the same way--does anyone know if a similar command feature
exists? Thank you.

Format the painter. Publisher is a layout program... Large documents are best
achieved in Word.

Hi Mary--As an example -- say in Publisher, I click Insert, then Text Box.
After I've done this, is there a command to simply click that will keep
adding text boxes without having to go back to the menu bar with a click on
Insert, then Text Box--in other words a faster way to continue a process that
is being duplicated. In Microsoft Word I can achieve this by simply holding
down the cntl key while clicking the letter key Y

Link the text boxes if you simply want the text to flow, insert as many pages as you
think necessary, on the pop-up menu, tick "create one text box on each page", then
link them. If you are pasting text, Publisher will automatically create pages and
text boxes if the first two text boxes are linked.
