Can I create separate Entourage databases for older email?

I would like to create an archive, if you will, of older emails (like I used
to do in Outlook by creating separate .pst files for the older email).

Does that capability exist in Entourage? If not, what is the best way to
archive older emails (and still keep them around!!), but keep the size of
the active database manageable?

Thanks!

Take a look at the tips suggested at:

Personally I don't recommend using an Identity to archive email.
The mbox option is my favorite.

MBOX files are great for backup, but you can't see inside them.

Well, they're searchable in spotlight and they can be opened in Word.
Not pretty, but good for quickly finding something.
