can I install office 97 over xp

I purchesed a XP Dell that has word perfect can I install Microsoft word 97
or do I need to buy a more current version of word

I had Office 97 including Exel, Word and Access installed on XP for a
long time with no problems. I now use Office 2003.

Go for it!
