Can I Mass delete from server?

A friend called and told me he hasn't downloaded email in months. When
he signed on he has over 1000 emails. He is on dialup and would rather
delete them all. I have never used Outlook, is there a way to delete
them at the server> Thank you.

He'd be better off deleting them through his ISP's webmail client (if it
offers one), or asking his ISP to delete the messages for him.
