Can I... "redirect to..." ?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to redirect 350 mail items sitting in a
subfolder to a specific address.

I guess I could make a rule and apply it to all messages, but is there a way
to "redirect to..." similar to Eudora?

If you simply select "redirect" - you have to manually insert the
destination address 350 times.

Your suggestions are appreciated.

Thx

Sorry, there is no way other than using a rule. I would create a rule like
this:
IF All Messages
THEN Redirect to [email protected]

Do not check the "Enabled" box, and then apply it manually (Message > Apply
Rule > Your New Rule) to the messages.

In your case I would probably create a new message addressed to the
recipient and then attach the other messages to it by dragging them into the
composition pane. I don't do much redirection mainly because in my
experience, the recipients usually don't notice the "Resent-From" header.

Thanks for confirming this.

The reason a redirect is desired in this situation is we want the party
we're redirecting to to be able to hit "reply" and the reply is to the
original sender, not me.

Thanks again.

With most e-mail programs (including Entourage), opening a message sent as
an attachment (as you would be doing by dragging the messages into the
composition pane of a new message) and replying results in the reply being
addressed to the original sender.
