Can I safely delete 2004 caches after upgrade to 2008

I upgraded to 2008 when it came out and I'm generally quite happy with
it. I don't enjoy getting two copies of each email found in Spotlight
searches, however, so I investigated and discovered I have both a 2004
and 2008 folder in "~/Library/Caches/Metadata/Microsoft/Entourage"

Can I safely delete the 2004 folder?

If you are satisfied that all of your mail from Entourage 2004 is in
Entourage 2008, then delete the cache.

When you use the Spotlight search box in Entourage it only searches the
Entourage 2008 database. Spotlight in the Finder searches everything.
