Can I save and run a powerpoint presentation on a DVD?

I am working on a Powerpoint presentation for my family, (my uncle is in
Iraq). And I thought that it would be easier for everyone to watch it if it
was on a DVD and I could run it on the TV. But I'm not sure if I can do
this. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how do I do it.
