I appologize for my stupidity.
How do I map it to the master or does it do it automatically?
don1452,
Let me see if I can fill in the blanks. You mentioned copy and paste.
That is probably the least efficient way to do what you need. Instead
create a dynamically consolidated master as Jan eluded to. First open a
blank file and then go to Insert/Project. In the Insert Project window
select the file(s) you want represented in the master. The default is
for a dynamically consolidated master, that is, the subprojects will be
linked to the master and changes made in either will be reflected in the
other.
Be aware however, that when viewing the subprojects in the master,
although you will see the full contents of each subproject, they are not
physically placed in the master, the master simply contains a pointer to
each individual subproject. This is best evidenced by the fact that in
the master the Task ID sequence repeats for each individual subproject.
Hope this clarifies and helps.
