Can Not Activate trial Version

R

Riz

I purchased a new HP Laptop from Circuit City and it came with a 60 day trial
version. The trial version requires activation. It tells me to use the
Works authentification number. The problem is that the number on the CD is a
product ID number and it is not long enough. Not enough characters.

I want to use the evaluation and then I plan on converting it to a full
version.

If anyone can help me activate the trial version I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I very much doubt that it tells you to use the Works authentication number -
that would be nonsensical as Works doesn't, never has and never will have
anything to do with Office (other than the Suite contains Word). Mind you if
that was by the CC salesmoron I can understand it.

The activation key is an alpha-numeric string of 25 characters in the form
A1BC2-D3EF4-GH5IJ-6KL7M-NO8P9. If you cannot find it then you need to
contact either HP or Circuit City as the vendor and the manufacturer are
responsible for all support
