Can see page number in footer, but they won't print

I use MS Word 2000 and when I set a header or footer to put in automatic
pagination the page numbers show up in the document on the screen, but
nothing prints. I can't find an answer in the archives. Help and TIA!

Hi psheya

It could be that the page numbers are too close to the bottom of the
page for the printer.
