Can 't send e-mail: Error 550

Every time I send an e-mail from Outlook 2002 I get an
error message back saying that

"550 relaying mail to <server name> is not allowed"

I checked with my ISP, (Verizon) they couldn't help. I've
tried several e-mails/different servers but the msg back
is the same. Any thoughts?
