Can two templates be used in a Powerpoint Presentation?

I am changing topics mid-presentation and would like to insert a different
background without having to create a separate presentation. Is this possible?

Yes, with PowerPoint 2002 (XP) and PowerPoint 2003, multiple templates can
be used within a presentation.
