Can you covert a pps file back to ppt for editing

Hope this is not too basic but is it possible to covert a pps file back to ppt for editing?

Hotdog,
Actually no problem at all, just rename your pps to ppt in windows explorer and you are set. The only difference between the two is that one letter.

Alternately, open PowerPoint. Open the .pps. Then, save it as PowerPoint file.
Either one will do.
