Can you partition a worksheet?

what I'm trying to say is, can you divide a workbook such that I ca
have a certain column length from A1 to A12, and then a differen
column length from A13 and beyond? Basically I want to divide th
workbook by adding a new series of columns at a particular row.

No.

You might be able to simulate something like this with merged cells, but it
wouldn't be automatic or easy.
