Can you solve this problem (Microsoft can't)

I'm having bizarre display problems in Entourage 2004. When I open a
new window (new email, new calendar event), the text does not display
properly in the dialogue boxes or drop-down menus. In the dialogue
boxes, the text is much larger than normal and displays justified to
the right, instead of left. In the drop-down menus, the text is large
and often aligned improperly.

Unfortunately this isn't just a cosmetic issue. It is difficult to
enter information into the dialogue boxes, particularly in the new
event window, because it is justified so far to the right that I can't
see the information as I enter it.

I've spoken with Microsoft tech support (as my 1 incident for free
support) and done the following with no success:
1) trashed preferences
2) rebuilt database
3) created new identity
4) created new os x user account
5) completely uninstalled and reinstalled office 2004 twice

At this point they're telling me there is nothing they can do, short
of me reinstalling OS X.

I'm hoping the collective brainpower of this board can help figure
this out. It's very frustrating. I have some screen shots of the
problem if that is useful. Please feel free to contact me via email
with suggestions.

Thanks
Chris

There have actually been several reports of this problem. Quoting the
response by Paul Berkowitz to a recent post:

It's a bug in 2004 that only hits some people sometimes. it happens after
such users have viewed a complex HTML email message. Quit Entourage,
relaunch, and go back to composing your emails without reading any new
messages in case they're complex HTML until you're done writing. Or you
could turn off the "Display complex HTML in messages" preference in
Preferences/Security.
