Cannot delete a specific event - Help!

Entourage has been bogging down. By chance, I found a five-month old
recurring event that looks as if it has been repeated countless times -
perhaps as much as a hundred. The software will not allow me to
delete any of the events in question. What do I do? Any idea how
this could happen?

Do you have an Exchange account?? I have seen that in the past and the
event on the server was corrupted. The solution was to use WebMail to
delete the event from the server itself.
