Cannot delete an email

There is one message in Entourage that I cannot open or delete. As
soon as I click on it the spinning ball of death appears. I leave this for
ages and then have to do a force quit. the email does have an
attachment. I have rebuilt the database twice on both typical and full.
This has not helped. I am using entourage 10.1.5 and Mac OS 10.2.6. I
would be really gratefull if anyone can help. Thanks

The ususal way to get rid of such corrupted messages is to
unselect the "Preview Pane" item froom the "View" menu.
Then you should be able to select and delete the message:
it's because Entourage attempts to display the message
content that you have that spinning ball.
