Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or disk

I am receiving the message "Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source
file or disk" when I try to delete an mp3 file that I downloaded. It does not
have the normal title of "mp3 format sound in the details box it just says
"file" and the name of the track. In properties, the size in bytes is listed
as 0. All attempts to delete this file have failed I am continually greeted
with that message. Can any assist, please? Many thanx. Saliann

Nowt to do with Office...
Run a disk test (Windows Explorer, right click on the drive, tools, check
now...) sounds like the file is corrupt. Also run an up-to-date virus and
spy-ware scan, down-loading MP3's can be a very dodgy business.

Thanx for coming back to me... I had a go and did what you suggested but the
file remains! I checked for viruses and nothing was red flagged.. When I
tried to scan just that file, alone, a screen message advised "cannot find
file"... It has always had a byte size of nil... could that mean the pc
doesn't think it's there even tho I can see the icon?
