Cannot delete message from inbox

Hi,

I've been having a problem with Entourage lately that I am hoping
someone can help me identify. With some new messages, they will appear
in my inbox twice. I can delete one, but cannot duplicate message from
the inbox. Neither message shows up in my inbox in the webmail version
of the email account (which is not a Gmail, etc. account) but it still
shows up in my inbox via Entourage. I visited Mactopia and Entourage's
help section, but I didn't find anything useful. This happened a
couple of times yesterday, but it has happened 5 times today. A few of
the messages are from email listserves, but a couple are from
individuals. Does anyone know what the trouble is, and how I can
correct it?

BTW, I use OS X version 10.4.8. My email account is IMAP.

This soundsl ike database corruption. You need to do a rebuild of the
database. You;ll find directions here:
