Cannot edit/delete line with a long Dim statement

I have a Dim statement with quite a few variables on it. The line executes
fine, but if I try to edit the line or delete it, Word freezes then stops
responding. I have tried deleting the entire macro with Tools/Macros... but
same thing happens. If I try to comment it out, same thing happens.

How do I get rid of this line?

G'day <Brian>,

worst comes to worst, export the module, delete the module, hand-edit
the export, re-import. However, your template / document sounds quite
corrupt and probably needs a good clean. If you don't know how to, my
Word Spellbook contains a lengthy procedure.

If answers r 2 terse, ask again or hassle an MVP,
at least they get recognition for it then.

Hi Brain,
the same happened to me lately (Word 97). Though,
I was still able to delete the first or last (?)
letter in the line. Then I saved and word crashed.
After a restart the letter was gone. Not an ideal
solution, better ideas welcome.

I was thinking about something like that. Anything in particular to
use for "hand-editing" the export?
