Cannot import contacts from Apple Address Book + iCal??

Having been using Apple Mail, Apple Address Book and iCal I just bought
Office2004 for Mac and find that Entourage does not have an option to
import my contacts from Address Book.

Surely this isn't so? Most people making the plunge and investment to
switch to MS Office must have their contacts in the native Mac Address Book
so how to import them all?

Can't face typing them all again!! Please help this frustrated convertee in
Sydney Australia.....

Open both Entourage and the Apple Address Book, select all in the Apple
address book, and drag and drop onto the Entourage address book contact
list.

I was just contemplating the enormity of retyping all my contacts when I
came up with the bright idea to check the newsgroups. Your address book drag
and drop worked like a charm. Any way to repeat it with iCal? I've tried a
few things but no joy yet. Not surprising, iCal being so basic and all.
Ical's not as big of a deal as Address Book anyway...mostly just interested
in moving annual repeats and a dozen or so future appointments. The address
book was the big thing.

Nothing. That's how it works, You can try Export form Address Book, and
export to a vCard file on your desktop. Then drag that into Entourage - I
think Entourage imports all of them.

You probably didn't select "all" your contacts in Addressbook from apple.

When you open addressbook select 1 address and then do Apple + a and drag
them to the office addressbookwindow.

Another way to export your information in addressbook form apple is to
export it as a V card and drag the V card information in your office
addressbook.

Ical information as far as I know doesn't (unfortunately) work with this
method.
