Cannot Import from Entourage to XP /Outlook

I have just set up Outlook in XP and want to import Addresses from Entourage
on my Mac. When I go to Import in Outlook, Entourage is not an available
option from drop down menu. When I Export Contacts in Entourage to my desktop
then drop in share file to open aas an Import in XP/Outlook, file is
unreadable. How do I import addresess to Outlook form Entourage? Thank you
